More complex stuff

Once you have got the hang of the basic comands you will start to wonder how to put them together to do more complex stuff. So here are some examples

find and replace

$ find . -name \*.txt -exec grep -l "word" {} \;

This comand searches through all the files with the ending .txt (ie text files) for the word "word" and returns the results telling you what files it has found "word" in.
